The Antwerp-based logistics services provider Gosselin Logistics recently managed the unloading operation of MV Regine which delivered project cargo for the Ineos Project One. The cargo included a C3 Splitter measuring 93 metres and weighing 589 tons.

Gosselin has been appointed as the general contractor for the marshalling yard by Ineos Belgium. Erhardt Projects organized the sea voyage on behalf of Tecnicas Reunidas for Ineos Project One.

Along with the wash tower, gas dryers and water tower, the units were safely landed on the heavy-lift marshalling site. The operation was completed in cooperation with PSA Breakbulk, Felbermayr, Sarens and Anthony Colans.

This delivery follows an earlier one that saw BigLift Shipping’s multipurpose heavy lift vessel Happy Star deliver a splitter weighing 591 tons and a demethaniser weighing 347 tons.

Project One represents the largest investment in European chemistry in the past 25 years. The cracker, which will be the most sustainable of its kind, will be commissioned in 2026, according to Ineos. The facility will have a nameplate capacity of 1450kt of ethylene per year.
