SAL Heavy Lift’s pair of Type 161A heavy-lift multipurpose (MPP) vessels met up in Antwerp to load several Konecranes Gottwald ESP Mobile Harbor Cranes. The MV Paula was tasked with moving dismantled units while MV Annegret took onboard a mix of dismantled and fully assembled units. 

MV Paula loaded three dismantled Konecranes Gottwald ESP 7B cranes, the heaviest unit weighing 242.5 tons. The 9,370 dwt vessel has taken its cargo to Ras al Khaimah in the UAE.

On the other hand,  MV Annegret was responsible for the transportation of a fully assembled ESP 7 crane, weighing 379 tons, to Bejaja, Algeria, a fully assembled ESP 8B crane (483,5 tons) to Sokhna, Egypt, and two dismantled cranes (ESP 8 and ESP 7) destined for Iskenderun, Turkey, and Civitavecchia, Italy.
