Trans Global Projects (TGP) Brazil is overseeing the transportation of five oversized reels from Newcastle, UK, to their final destination in Brazil.

The reels, each weighing between 190 and 260 tonnes, are currently en route across the Atlantic Ocean. TGP Brazil is coordinating all aspects of the logistics, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of the cargo.

The vessel picked for the job, according to the photos released by TGP is the 2012-built multipurpose heavy-lift vessel, BBC Coral. The 14,350 dwt ship is equipped with two 400-ton cranes, combinable to 800 mt and a single 80-ton crane.

Once the reels arrive in Rio de Janeiro, TGP Brazil will handle the final leg of the journey via barge transportation to the project site.
