Swire Projects delivers seawater filtration package for FPSO project
Swire Projects, the heavy lift and project cargo specialist arm of Swire Shipping, has recently completed delivery for an undisclosed Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) project.
The critical components in question are part of a seawater filtration package. The cargo consisted of 15 units with the heaviest one weighing 229 tonnes, according to Swire Projects.
For the heavy lift operations and the delivery of the equipment from China to Singapore, Swire Projects used the capabilities of its E/F Type multipurpose vessel, Pacific Fortitude. The 12,700 dwt MPP features two 150-ton cranes, well suited for the job.
This delivery adds to a recent project that the company has completed, transporting the 275-tonne YC Bora from Walvis Bay, Namibia, to Sharjah, UAE, aboard the Pacific Integrity, an I-type vessel equipped with two 240-ton heavy-lift cranes.
The operation was conducted in partnership with Peters & May, a global leader in yacht transportation and logistics.
