TGP’s Dutch and UK units collaborate on another transformers delivery
Tight coordination between TGP Netherlands and TGP UK ensured the successful transhipment and onward delivery of two massive transformers to the United Kingdom.
The transformers, weighing a hefty 174 and 186 tonnes respectively, arrived at the Port of Rotterdam aboard the ultra-large container vessel HMM Gdansk. TGP’s expertise in logistics management came into play as they orchestrated the transhipment of these oversized cargo pieces onto two coaster vessels for their final destinations in the UK.
Meeting strict time constraints was paramount. Through meticulous planning and collaboration with all parties involved, Trans Global Projects facilitated a swift handover of both transformers in Rotterdam.
One transformer, due to tight tidal restrictions at its final destination in a small inland port off the Bristol Channel, required immediate transfer onto its dedicated coaster vessel. The second transformer embarked on a journey to Heysham, a port located in Morecombe Bay on England’s northwest coast.
The delivery of another pair of transformers adds to the long list of these units TGP has been transporting across the globe in recent months.
