Hamburg-headquartered F.H. Bertling Logistics has recently handled a transport of a gas turbine generator from Norway to China. The unit measured 20 metres in length, 4.6 metres in width and 7.75 metres in height, with a weight of 134.6 tonnes.

The gas turbine generator together with its accessories was loaded onboard an Amasus heavy-lift vessel at Drammen Port in Norway. The vessel was arranged by Bertling. The unit was delivered to Tianjin in China.

Bertling Logistics arranged for the vessel and coordinated the loading and unloading operations at both ports. Albeit all parties involved were working on a skeleton staff basis during the year-end festive season, the transport went well and this critical cargo arrived safely in China.
