Wagenborg ships project cargo to Brazil
Maritime logistics company Wagenborg recently completed project cargo delivery for the Norte Conectado project in the north of the Amazon region.
The company’s geared multipurpose vessel, Warnowborg delivered 770 km of cables to Santana in North of Brazil. The subsea cables were loaded at the Wagenborg terminal in Eemshaven, the Netherlands.
In advance for these loading operations, two custom made cable tanks were installed in the holds of the Warnowborg. While laying at the Wagenborg quay side, the tanks have been installed within a short time frame. The custom tanks have been designed by the team of Wagenborg cargo superintendents. The diameter of the outer and inner tank were specially adapted for the hold of the W-class vessel, which is 15,20m.
After loading the Warnowborg had a smooth Atlantic crossing to Brazil. Upon arrival in Santana, the MPP vessel moored next to a lay barge to start discharging operations under agency of the Serveport Group. The Warnowborg is expected to finish discharging early next week.
