Video: Last section multipurpose vessel EasyMax 2 leaves building hall
At the Royal Niestern Sander shipyard, Royal Wagenborg has transported the aft ship section of the EasyMax 2 from the construction hall to the quay side. It is now aligned with the rest of the ship, ready to be joined.
Yard number 851 for Royal Wagenborg and affiliated partners is the second vessel of the EasyMax type. The EasyMax is an open top multipurpose ice classed vessel with a cargo capacity of 14,200 tonnes and a hold volume of 625,000 cft. The vessel combines a large cargo capacity with very low fuel consumption.
Partly because of this, Wagenborg won the KVNR Shipping Award for the first EasyMax, the Egbert Wagenborg, in 2017. The design of this ship type has been developed by Royal Wagenborg and Royal Niestern Sander in collaboration with carefully chosen partners.
