Project logistics and heavy transport specialist, LASO Transportes, helped move the Spanish energy transition forward. The company transported components for eleven towers for the new Atalayas wind farm.

This project required careful planning and precise logistics to guarantee the efficiency and safety of transporting each component. For about a month, a team of over 40 professionals, including drivers, pilots, commercial staff, traffic managers, and engineers, worked meticulously to coordinate the transports from different loading points: Aranda de Duero, Daimiel, and Santander.

To carry out the project, the team used specialized vehicles for transporting large and heavy components. The “Super Wing Carrier” was utilised for transporting the wind turbine blades, as it is specifically designed for their safe and efficient transport. The team employed the “Modular Trailer” for transporting other components, as it offers flexibility and adaptability to different cargo needs.

The police escort was also essential to minimize traffic impact and ensure the safety of everyone involved.

“The involvement and dedication of the entire team were crucial to the successful execution of this project, ensuring that all stages were completed efficiently and, most importantly, safely,” stated the project coordinator. “Every obstacle we overcome reinforces our commitment to innovation and excellence.”
