COSCO takes delivery of a 77,000 dwt Green Vitoria
COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers have taken delivery of its latest vessel, the Green Vitoria, a 77,000-ton multipurpose wood pulp carrier. This marks the seventh vessel in this tonnage category delivered to COSCO, further strengthening its position in the wood pulp transportation market.
In recent years, COSCO has actively pursued expansion in this sector, aligning with its “three cores and three chains” logistics strategy. This strategy emphasizes collaboration with major global wood pulp manufacturers and the development of specialised carriers tailored to specific cargo needs.
The company boasts a fleet exceeding 30 multipurpose wood pulp carriers, ranging from 62,000 to 77,000 tons. Looking ahead, COSCO plans to diversify their fleet further with various specialized wood pulp carrier types, continuously optimising its capabilities and enhancing customer service.
