The Groot-Ammers based abnormal load specialist, Van der Vlist Transport Group has a new mega windmill trailer XL.

This new trailer will enable Van der Vlist to transport tower sections of the extremely large new generation of wind turbines, with increased safety and efficiency. The mega windmill trailer XL is able to transport various diameters of wind turbine towers. A recent example is the transportation of a tower, 6.3 metres in diameter, by the Dutch company.

Van der Vlist has also purchased a second mega windmill trailer XL, which is to be delivered shortly. The transportation group has chosen to invest into these special trailers, to meet increasing demand for the conveying of large diameter windmill towers in the offshore and onshore wind industries.
