Spliethoff Group is continuing its growth as it adds another name to its portfolio of businesses. The latest addition is the 2003-founded maritime and offshore logistics services provider, ForestWave. The company will become Spliethoff’s seventh business unit as of September 30, 2024.

With this expansion, the number of vessels commercially operated by the Spliethoff Group has grown to a combined fleet of over 140 vessels. ForestWave will retain operational independence and continue operating under the same name and with the same management team. The company operates a fleet of 30 multipurpose vessels with loading capacities from 5,000 to 12,500 mt.

Spliethoff, Sevenstar Yacht Transport, and ForestWave have collaborated closely and effectively for a considerable period in transporting bulk cargoes and yachts. This collaboration will now be strengthened within the framework of the Spliethoff Group.

On behalf of the management of Spliethoff Group Messrs Bras and Van den Heuvel emphasize the importance of this step: “After so many years of constructive and pleasant cooperation with ForestWave, formalising this cooperation is a logical step. The takeover of ForestWave will provide synergy and enable us to offer our clients an even broader scope of logistic solutions. We look forward to a productive cooperation.”

“This strategic alliance with the Spliethoff Group enables us to realise our full potential. We maintain our identity and independent operations, while we benefit from new opportunities. Together we will be able to serve our clients and colleagues even better,” added Fred Diepeveen, Managing Director of ForestWave.
