Spliethoff and BigLift have continued to nurture the synergies between the two and have now made the next step with a new office in Denmark. The two companies have already combined forces in the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Japan. During the next month, a new joined operation will open its doors in the greater Copenhagen area.

Returning to home soil after an extended period overseas, Nicolai Stoltz Nielsen will head the Denmark representative office. Nielsen is very experienced and well-known in the market, and he has been part of the Spliethoff and BigLift family for the past 10 years as a member of the Spliethoff-BigLift Houston office.

With the Spliethoff-BigLift office in Denmark, major players in the oil and gas, offshore and onshore wind, and freight forwarding sectors will now have a wide range of Spliethoff and BigLift vessels available to them in “their own backyard” for future transportation requirements.

Furthermore, Spliethoff and BigLift believe that the global shift towards renewable energy will present substantial growth opportunities that a local office can help serve well in the foreseeable future.
