Peters and May, a marine transport solutions provider has named BR Partners as its exclusive sales agent in Brazil for all marine craft freight. According to Peters & May, the partnership is expected to enhance its presence in South America.

BR Partners currently exports about 90 percent of the yachts manufactured in Brazil, including brands like Azimut, Schaefer, and Sessa. In the future, they will also use Peters & May’s global network for their exports. Most of these exports are headed for Europe and the USA, mainly through Port Everglades with carriers like MSC, Maersk, and CMA CGM. BR Partners’ expertise and volume of yacht shipments, typically 35-45ft and classified as out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo, make them ideal partners for Peters & May’s patented Flat Rail service.

The Flat Rail service is a specialized transport solution that uses flat racks, which are open containers designed to hold oversized and out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo. The patented Flat Rail service offered by Peters & May has been incorporated into their global network, making it easier to transport yachts between major shipping routes and destinations. There are talks of a new partnership that could potentially establish Brazil as the new hub for the Flat Rail service.

“This venture with BR Partners is a significant opportunity for Peters & May as we prepare to expand our reach in South America/Brazil. We look forward to working with BR Partners and Jonas’ team to maximise on the synergies that our two companies will bring to the yacht shipping industry in South America,” said Michael Wood, Director at Peters & May.

This partnership promises significant benefits by leveraging each company’s strengths and infrastructure, including cost savings through optimized shipping rates with major carriers. Integrating best practices and logistics systems utilised by each company, including Peters & May’s recently introduced cargo tracking technology, will enhance tracking capabilities. It will provide real-time monitoring of shipments, enhancing service reliability and client satisfaction.
