Swire Projects, part of Swire Shipping, which specialises in heavy lift and project cargo services, has achieved a notable feat by successfully transporting the YC Bora, a 53-meter fast support and intervention vessel.

The shipment, which involved transporting the 275-tonne YC Bora from Walvis Bay, Namibia, to Sharjah, UAE, was carried out aboard the Pacific Integrity, an I-type vessel equipped with two 240-t heavy-lift cranes. The operation was conducted in partnership with Peters & May, a global leader in yacht transportation and logistics.

According to Namir Khanbabi, General Manager of Swire Projects, meticulous planning and execution were crucial to ensure the vessel’s stability throughout the journey. “The successful shipment of the YC Bora underscores Swire Shipping’s commitment to excellence in global cargo logistics,” he remarked.

Robert Blades, Global Commercial Sales Manager of Peters & May, echoed Khanbabi’s sentiments, emphasising the collaboration’s significance in meeting client requirements.

“The partnership with Swire Projects was instrumental in achieving this milestone,” Blades noted. “Our joint effort and expertise in specialized cargo logistics ensured the safe and efficient transport of the YC Bora.”
