HAPO, a provider of maritime services, has acquired HM Holland Projects BV and HMH Realty BV. This acquisition grants HAPO access to a combined 229 meters of quayside located in Bolnes, Oostdijk 29, Rotterdam.

Strategically situated near Ridderkerk and Slikkerveer, the quayside was historically a hub for shipyards, employing a significant workforce in various maritime projects. Located outside the Port of Rotterdam’s jurisdiction, the site offers a prime location for the extended lay-up of barges during downtime.

This acquisition strengthens Hapo’s presence in Rotterdam. said a Hapo spokesperson. “We also deliver quayside services such as outfitting/mobilisation and demobilisation of barges from this new location,” the company said.

HAPO offers additional services upon request, such as crane rentals (including their 100-tonne Grove Rough Terrain Crane) and cherry pickers. The proximity to their existing Ridderkerk yard at Ringdijk 486 further enhances operational efficiency.

Beyond the expansion of its service offerings, Hapo leverages its over 30 years of experience in the scrap and recycling sector.

The acquisition of the quayside facilities signifies HAPO’s commitment to growth and strategic expansion within the Rotterdam maritime sector. This move allows them to provide a wider range of services to existing clients and further solidify their position as a key player in the region’s maritime industry.
