Fr. Meyer’s Sohn acquires compatriot project logistics company Breeze

Hamburg-based logistics company Fr. Meyer’s Sohn has acquired a majority stake in fellow Hamburg company Breeze (Germany) GmbH, a specialist in project logistics.

“The participation fits perfectly into our existing network and is a very good complement to our global activities. The work on worldwide joint projects will be further expanded,” says Heiko Voigt, Managing Director of Fr. Meyer’s Sohn.

Breeze will continue under its established name and retain its leadership team, with founder Hubertus Quasdorf and long-standing managing director Fritz Ress remaining at the helm. Customers and business partners can expect continuity in terms of established contacts and services. However, the expanded network and resources of Fr. Meyer’s Sohn present exciting new opportunities.

“For the German company, as well as for the companies already established in China, India, Mongolia, and Australia, new perspectives are now emerging. In addition, Breeze will soon be represented at additional locations worldwide,” Quasdorf said.  “With a strong partner at our side, we will be able to expand our presence more quickly – this serves growth for and with our customers. We will take care of strengthening the team to be able to implement the planned course. The acquisition strengthens Fr. Meyer’s Sohn’s position in the project logistics sector, allowing them to offer a wider range of services and cater to increasingly complex client demands. Breeze, in turn, gains access to a broader network and resources, enabling them to expand their global footprint and service offerings.
