Sascha Simon named Co-CEO of Drewes Logistics
Drewes Logistics, a Drewes Group division, has continued bolstering its leadership team as it made three new additions. The company said it has named Sascha Simon as the new Co-CEO of Drewes Logistics.
Furthermore, Simon has been joined by Frank Krause and Christian Galle, expanding the company’s expertise in project logistics and bringing it closer to its customers not only in North Rhine-Westphalia. Simon has been tasked with managing the company’s new branch in Düsseldorf, which it is currently setting up.
The addition to the management, as well as the new office, continue Drewes’ expansion in the project logistics sector. In August last year, the company expanded its network with two new branches in Austria and the United States.
In Austria, the company has decided to set up shop in Dornbim, Vorarlberg region, to be closer to several large international mechanical and plant engineering companies. Across the pond, in Savannah, United States, Drewes Logistics has called up Lisa Beerens to manage a new office. In addition to project cargo, Drewes Logistics will also take care of the container and breakbulk business from Savannah.
Towards the end of the year, Drewes acquired the French project logistics service provider Philco International. The acquisition allows Drewes to focus more on the North African market, with a specific interest in project cargo. Philco is the official contract partner of the Egyptian state logistics service provider Martrans and a long-term member of several leading international project cargo networks.
