The complex logistics services specialist deugro group has made further steps to strengthen its position in the renewables sector by appointing Christian Schulz as vice president – global business development – thermal power & renewables, effective October 1. 

In his role, Schulz is responsible for the global key account management and development of the portfolio for thermal power and transmission and distribution (T&D) industry clients for the deugro group companies. This also includes supporting strategic activities in the renewables sector.

The focus is the direct client approach of the thermal power and renewables industries, with the increasing and challenging demands of the thermal power logistics sector across all global business units, in both developed and emerging markets.

Christian Schulz has over 20 years’ experience in leading logistics positions at Siemens and Vestas Wind Power Systems, along with different roles in the project logistics industry. “I am excited to have the opportunity to re-join the deugro group and to add value to both internal stakeholders and deugro’s global client base. I had the pleasure to have worked with deugro 12 years ago as a professional management trainee, working in seven different deugro offices across the globe” said Schulz.

Commenting on the appointment, Tim Killen, executive vice president, deugro group, added, “The thermal power and T&D industry continues to be very important to our business. We are looking forward to Christian’s contributions, experience and leadership skills in providing customer focused solutions to deugro groups existing and new clients.”
