4D Supply Chain Consulting, a deugro group enterprise has named Thomas Skellingsted to the position of vice president and global head, effective September 1, 2021. In his role, Skellingsted is responsible for the global management and development of the client portfolio and service offering of supply chain and logistics activities for the 4D Supply Chain Consulting organization.

By building on his career in value-driven logistics and supply chain disciplines, Skellingsted will ensure that 4D continues to deliver end-to-end solutions to new and existing clients across multiple industry verticals. Cost optimization, risk reduction and QHSES improvement have been core themes for Skellingsted over the past 10 years in his previous role as global head of heavy lift and project cargo for Hitachi ABB Power Grids. At ABB, he was in charge of the oversight and management of 10 strategic Transport Management Centres of Excellence, which are responsible for all ABB’s inbound and outbound supply chain and project logistics activities.

He brings a proven track record of both theoretical and practical experience of more than 30 years of experience within transport and logistics. In combination with his very good instinct for rapidly changing market conditions, he will provide 4D customized solutions for each client request.
