Dutch Norwegian shortsea shipping company Longship Group has taken delivery of Longeon, the second vessel in its series of 8,600 dwt newbuilds from Atlas Shipyard. The milestone is in line with the company’s modernisation and environmental sustainability goals. 

The Longeon, delivered on October 25th by Atlas Shipyard, incorporates the same cutting-edge diesel-electric propulsion system and hydrodynamic hull design as the previously delivered Longera. This innovative approach minimizes fuel consumption and reduces environmental impact while maintaining optimal operational efficiency.

The company has two more vessels in this series on order at Atlas Shipyard. The third vessel in the series, the Longearth has already been launched in June.
