Faymonville selects Little Rock to set up its US production site
Specialized trailer and heavy transport equipment company Faymonville Group, is expanding its footprint across the pond by setting up a new production facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. The 54-acre site at the Port of Little Rock provides access to major interstates, Class I railroads, navigable waterways, and a national airport.
The company plans to invest more than $100 million in the production site, which will cover 409,000 square feet in Phase 1 and, with a subsequent expansion, take the site to 624,000 square feet.
With production facilities across Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, and Italy, the company produces approximately 3,000 units annually.
Faymonville’s diverse product range includes semi-trailers, low-loaders, modular vehicles, and self-propelled trailers, catering to a wide range of heavy-haul transportation needs. The company’s products are designed to handle exceptionally heavy, long, wide, and tall loads, with capacities ranging from 16.5 to over 27,500 US tons.
“We don’t just supply special vehicles, we provide comprehensive transport solutions,” said Alexander Fickers, CEO of the Faymonville Group. “We proudly delivered our first vehicle to the U.S. in 2016. What we particularly value about the U.S. market is its enormous potential, its practical, solution-driven mindset, and the much simpler administration compared to Europe.”
According to Yves and Alain Faymonville, the first phase will see the production of individual components manufactured in Little Rock, while preparation for in-house production is underway. Both expect the production to be operational by early 2026.
