Combi Lift, a leading integrated project logistics provider, has recently completed a complex project in Algeria, in collaboration with a global EPC company. The company’s teams in India and Bremen worked together on the project, with support from SAL Engineering.

The project involved the transportation of critical components, including heat exchangers from India and debutanizers and de-ethanizers from Oman. A total of 17 packages were shipped from Mumbai to Arzew, Algeria. The heaviest and longest packages weighed 216 metric tons and measured 25.7 metres, respectively.

From Oman, Combi Lift managed 16 packages with the heaviest package at 196 metric tons and the longest at 43.85 metres.

The cargo faced several challenges during the journey. Navigating through extensive civil work in Oman due to rain-damaged routes and bypassing the Red Sea due to insurance constraints, the cargo journey included a detour around the Cape of Good Hope, facing severe weather and requiring precise heavy lift handling on deck, Combi Lift said.
